This orchestral reduction of Verdi’s Rigoletto is aimed for performance using twelve players.
The flute doubles with both piccolo and alto flute, the oboe doubles with cor anglais and the 2nd violin doubles with viola. The trombone part is optional.
The arrangement also works with multiple strings (ie, up to 44322), in which case there would be no doubling of 2nd violin with viola.
